We collect as little data as possible. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

Why there is no cookie banner

Everything this site stores on your device is strictly necessary for a feature you use yourself, so no consent is needed for it (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). We do not use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising or tracking. The only third-party service that needs your consent is the map, and it stays off until you choose to load it.

Stored on your device

• Cookie "city": the city you picked, so the home page shows it again. Kept for one year.
• Local storage: your saved events, theme choice, alert preferences and whether you allowed maps. Kept until you delete them.
• Service worker cache: pages you visited, so the site works offline. Replaced with each update.

None of this is sent to anyone else. You can delete all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your location

To show events near you, the home page may ask your browser for your location. Your coordinates are used only in your browser to pick the nearest city and are never sent to us. You can say no and pick a city by hand. Without a stored city, our host estimates your city from your IP address for that request only; nothing is stored (legal basis: legitimate interest in showing relevant events, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Push notifications

If you turn on alerts, we store your browser's push subscription (an anonymous endpoint address and encryption keys), your chosen city, communities and notification settings. We use this only to send the alerts you asked for (legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Alerts are delivered through your browser maker's push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft), which receives the encrypted message. Turning alerts off deletes the record immediately; we also delete it as soon as your browser reports the subscription as expired.

Event images

Event images come from the organisers and ticket platforms that list the events. We load them through our own server, so your browser never contacts those platforms and your IP address is not shared with them.

Maps

Maps use tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). They load only after you click "Load map", because your browser then sends your IP address to OpenStreetMap's servers. The United Kingdom has an EU adequacy decision (legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time:

Hosting and database

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, on servers in Frankfurt. When you visit, Vercel processes your IP address, the time and the requested page to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keeps these logs only briefly (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Push subscriptions are stored in a database run by Neon Inc. Both companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and we have data processing agreements with them that include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Links to other sites

Ticket links, "Add to Google Calendar" and source links open other websites. Nothing is sent to them until you click, and their own privacy policies apply from then on.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Contact us at farhan.malhi@gmail.com.
