How it works
Events in Germany collects public event listings every day and organises them so you can find what's on for your community, in your city, day by day.
Where the events come from
- Ticketmaster Discovery API: concerts, shows and sports.
- Google Events (via SerpApi): community and cultural events found across the web.
- PredictHQ: festivals and large events, with attendance estimates.
- Community calendars: public iCal feeds from associations, places of worship and student groups.
- OpenLigaDB, football-data.org and TheSportsDB: home games of local football clubs, plus ice hockey, basketball, handball and volleyball.
- Bandsintown: German tour dates of artists popular with the communities we cover.
- Local tourism boards: openly licensed city calendars (for example Leipzig, Cologne, Essen and Frankfurt), powered by open.destination.one. Each listing names its rights holder and licence.
Event pages also show public holidays from Nager.Date and, for the next two weeks, a weather forecast from Open-Meteo.
How events are tagged
Each event is matched to communities, a category, a size (small to mega) and free or ticketed. We use keyword rules and an AI model (Claude by Anthropic) that reads the title and description. Tags can be wrong, and our editors correct them when they spot mistakes.
Event sizes
- Small: under 100 people
- Medium: 100 to 1,000 people
- Large: 1,000 to 10,000 people
- Mega: over 10,000 people
Sizes are estimates based on the venue, the source and the event description.
Is the information correct?
We link to the original listing for every event. Dates, prices and tickets can change, so please check with the organiser before you go.
