Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to find events, including people using screen readers, keyboards, or zoom.
What we do
- Aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA: text contrast, visible focus, and semantic headings and landmarks.
- Everything works with a keyboard. Use the “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
- Filters work without JavaScript, and result counts are announced to screen readers.
- Every map has a full list version, so you never need the map.
- Animations are turned off when your system asks for reduced motion. High-contrast mode is respected.
- Light and dark themes follow your system setting, and you can switch them in the header.
Known limitations
- Event descriptions come from third parties and may not be written in plain language.
- Images from external sources do not have descriptions. They are decorative, and all event details are in the text.
